What has Lightroom Ever Done for us?

…Apart from cropping images, adding vignettes, changing highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, chromatic aberration, camera profile etc, etc, etc!

I’m a big fan of using whatever technology is available to take the best pictures I can, and that includes all the tips and tricks offered by Lightroom.

Some wildlife photographers think you should never ‘clone’ out anything from a wildlife shot, but I disagree.

Yes, I’ll abide by the rules if I’m entering a competition, and I don’t want to make my images look ‘fake’, but I see no reason not to improve an image if I can by whatever means necessary. Photography is art, after all. Imagine telling Picasso that Cubism was cheating…!

If you still believe the camera never lies, take a look at these images and see for yourself. I just hope you’re more impressed by my Lightroom skills than you are embarrassed by how bad my original shots were...!
