Facts and figures from my Africa trip
My trip to Africa came about when I happened to read an online article about a guy who’d managed to wangle himself 365 nights of accommodation in exchange for taking pictures. I thought to myself, “I could do that!”, so I Googled ‘safari lodges in Kenya and Tanzania’, sent off 50 emails and waited to see what happened. After only a couple of weeks, I had 17 invitations!

In the Wild exhibition and caption competition
I had my first exhibition at Lumi Arts from 20-30 November 2018, with a private view on the opening Thursday night. It was great to have a chat with so many friends and other guests, and we had quite a few visitors during the week. I haven’t seen any sales yet, but you never know…!

The ones that got away
I get nervous before I go on photography trips. Part of that is just worrying about travel arrangements, visas and packing everything I need, but another part of it is worrying that I won't get the shots I want. Here are a few examples of 'the ones that got away'.
Favourite films for a photographer

Lightroom workflow
A few years ago, I started doing all my photographic post-processing in Lightroom. It's the program used by most professional photographers and is reasonably user-friendly, I got to grips with Lightroom mostly by watching a very useful series of YouTube videos by Anthony Morganti, but this article is just a description of my basic workflow.
